Peer Review Process

Peer-review process is the process to take a closer look to the manuscript to determine the suitability and compliancy with the pre-determined journal guidelines and quality standards. This is done by following these steps:

  1. The Managing Editor along with other journal editors read the manuscript and decide whether the manuscript has been in compliance with the guidelines or not.
  2. The Editorial Board holds the rights to check the manuscript for similarities checking using TURNITIN to ensure the submitted manuscripts do not violate any originality issues.
  3. Manuscripts that are considered to not be under the teaching, learning, assessment and education fields will be rejected and returned to the author. This is the internal review phase.
  4. However, those that are already suitable will be sent to the reviewers according to the topics and expertise of the reviewers. The external review phase is then undergone.
  5. The reviewers are given some time to review the manuscripts and the right to accept or reject the manuscripts, and with major or minor revisions.
  6. The reviewers send back the manuscripts to the authors containing the comments and feedbacks from the reviewers.
  7. The authors are given some time to revise their manuscripts (2 weeks at the most) with their responses towards the comments and feedbacks given.
  8. The Managing Editor of the journal resends the manuscripts to the reviewer once more to ensure that the revised manuscripts are already satisfactorily improved and ready to be published.
  9. The Managing Editor will resend the manuscripts if the revisions made do not meet the reviewers’ requests, until the manuscripts are ready to be published.
