Publication Guidelines

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the author guidelines and sent via our website or by email to jsftukwms@gmail.com. Articles submitted exclusively must only be sent to the Journal of Pharmacy Science and Practice, and never and will not be published in other scientific media. If the article is accepted for publication, the author is considered to agree to allow his article (including abstracts) to be published exclusively in the Journal of Pharmacy Science and Practice through online and print media. Articles received can be revised layout and typing errors by the editorial board without notice.
The manuscript can be written in English or Indonesian. For texts written in Indonesian, abstracts must be written in English and Indonesian. The manuscript must be typed on A4 size paper and typed in Times New Roman, 12, 1.5 spaces. A maximum of 10 pages (main body) with margins 4,4,3, and 3 from the top, left, bottom and right.
For research articles and reports from preliminary research, the manuscripts must be sorted as follows - title page, abstract, abstract, Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments, Bibliography, Tables, Images with the following conditions:

1. Title page: contains the title of the article; author's name, affiliation of each author; full postal address, email address, telephone number and fax number of the author used to correspond (corresponding author).
2. Abstract: A maximum of 250 words and must be in 1 paragraph. Abstraction / Abstract should state briefly the background, objectives, methods, results of the principle and the main conclusions of the study. Abstract should be accompanied by keywords a maximum of 5 words.
3. Introduction: State the purpose of the work and provide adequate background, avoid detailed library surveys or summary of results.
4. Research Methods: Provide sufficient detail so that your work can be reproduced, including the tools and materials used in the research. Methods that have been published must be marked with a library: only relevant modifications are described.
5. Results and Discussion: Results must be clear and concise. The discussion should explore the meaningful results of the work, not repeating the results of the work. Avoid extensive citations and discussions from previously published literature.
6. Conclusions: Connect Conclusions with Research Objectives.
7. Acknowledgments: Register here individuals who provided assistance during the research (for example those who provided language assistance, included writing assistance or proof read articles, etc.).

1. Tables, Pictures and Illustrations • Images must be saved in neutral data formats such as JPEG, TIFF or EPS. PowerPoint and Word graphics are not suitable for reproduction (submit original Excel data). Don't use pixel-oriented programs. The scanned image (in JPEG and TIFF) must have a resolution of 300 dpi (halftone) or 600 to 1200 dpi (line drawings) with respect to reproduction size. • Tables and figures included in the main manuscript must be numbered separately, in the order in which they appear in the manuscript. • Each table and figure must be presented on a separate page from the text with a brief title and explain the table and figure data. All writing in tables and figures (including legends) must be clearly legible and distinguishable when printed in black and white. The table must only contain horizontal lines, with only blank spaces to separate columns. • Notes under each table and figure must be used to explain and display the source of all data displayed. Color Image The author will incur additional costs if you want to publish color images in the article.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by an appointed Editor on the prequalification process to decide its suitability with Jurnal Farmasi Sains dan Terapan (Journal Pharmacy Science and Practice) criteria. Manuscripts could be rejected, returned to authors to be corrected, or reviewed by two or three assigned reviewers. All review processes are conducted in a double-blind review. Author(s) must revise the manuscripts as suggested by reviewers and the editorial board. The revised manuscript will be reviewed by the Editor assigned by the Editor in Chief. The editorial board will judge the final evaluation of the suitability of manuscript(s) for publication.

Publication Ethics

Ethical standards are needed in the publication of the Journal of Pharmacy Science and Practice to ensure high-quality scientific publications, maintain public confidence in scientific findings, and ensure researchers receive credit for their ideas. Important to avoid:

• Data fabrication and falsification Making data means that researchers do not actually conduct research, but make data. Data falsification means the researcher conducts an experiment, but then changes some data. Both of these practices are prohibited from submitting articles in Journal of Pharmacy Science and Practice.
• Plagiarism Taking other people's research ideas and research work without giving them credit is considered an unfair and dishonest act, even copying only one sentence from another manuscript, or from the manuscript itself, without proper quotation can be considered as plagiarism.
• Multiple submissions Submitting the same text to more than one journal at a time will be considered as an unethical act.
• Improper author contribution or attribution All authors listed in publications must make significant scientific contributions to the research in the manuscript and agree with all their claims.

Publication decisions The Editor of Jurnal Farmasi Sains dan Terapan (Journal of Pharmacy Science and Practice) is responsible for deciding whether to accept or reject an article. Originality and renewal of the technology used will be a factor that supports the acceptance of a manuscript. The editor can negotiate with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
Confidentiality The editor and any editorial staff of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Science and Applied may not disclose any information about the manuscript sent to anyone other than the author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and publishers, as appropriate.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest Unpublished material but contained in the manuscript submitted may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.
Duties of Reviewers Peer review helps editors make decisions on whether an article is accepted or rejected. Every selected reviewer who feels that his field of research is incompatible with the field of science in the manuscript to be reviewed is obliged to notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents, may not be shown or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor. The review must be done objectively. Reviewers must express their opinions clearly supported by supporting arguments.Reviewers must be able to identify sources of literature that have not been cited by the author. The reviewer must also inform the editor of substantial similarities or the existence of manuscripts that overlap with other published papers.Information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers may not be asked to review the manuscript if they have a conflict of interest arising from competition, collaboration, or other relationships or connections with the authors, companies or institutions connected with the paper.
Duties of Authors The author must present an accurate report on the research carried out as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The manuscript must contain enough detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. False or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior. The author is asked to provide raw data and must be prepared to provide public access to that data. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. An author may not generally publish manuscripts that basically describe the same research in more than one journal. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Authorship must be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the research reported. The author must ensure that all authors have seen and agreed to the final version of the paper and have approved the submission for publication. If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use, the author must clearly identify these in the manuscript. All authors must disclose if there are other financial or substantive conflicts of interest that might be interpreted to affect the results or interpretation of their manuscripts. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Article Processing Charge

For submitting, processing, and publishing the Article in Jurnal Farmasi Sains dan Terapan (Journal of Pharmacy Science and Practice), article processing charge (APC) is 300.000.00 IDR (Rp. 300.000,00; tiga ratus ribu rupiah). The APC will be charge after the acceptance of manuscript.

Plagiarism Check

All articles submitted to the journal are subject to plagiarism check. Articles that do not meet the requirement will be returned to authors for further editorial works or will be rejected immediately. Plagiarism checker used by the journal is Turnitin.
