"Experientia" is a Latin word meaning "knowledge gained from experience". The name Experientia pertains to the learning method and knowledge development practiced in the Faculty of Psychology of Widya Mandala Catholic Surabaya, which emphasizes on "experiential learning", in which the students and the instructors actively participate together in academic endeavors. The vision underlying the journal is to "give psychology away", which is to freely disseminate both empirical and non-empirical research (i.e literature reviews, metaanalysis) within domains of psychology and relevant disciplines pertaining human mind and behaviors. The journal is published twice a year by the Faculty of Psychology of Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya.
